Position

Martín is the managing partner of Guerrero Olivos and a member of the real estate area (Band 1). In addition, he is a member of the environment department.

Career

He specializes in project development, construction, real estate regulatory and permitting, acquisition and sale of real estate projects and AAA Class buildings, environmental regulatory and transactional matters, and environmental disputes.  His real estate practice has both a transactional and a regulatory focus. In the regulatory area, Martín has become one of the most prominent experts in Chile in zoning regulations and real estate permits conflicts.

Martín served as Adviser and Chief of Staff to the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of Chile (1997-2000) and was CEO of the Chilean environmental consultancy firm Sustentable S.A. (2002-2006).

Memberships

He is a member of the Legislation Committee of the Chilean Chamber of Construction. Currently, Martín is the President of the board of the Vivienda and Techo-Chile Foundation, Director of Déficit Cero and member of the board of the Moreau Foundation, and in the academic field, Martin is Co-Director of the Real Estate Law and Business Diploma in the School of Law of the Universidad Católica de Chile and has served as Professor in the Urban Planning Master at the Architecture School of the Universidad Católica de Chile.
