Career
Ignacio Minorini Lima co-heads the Litigation, International Arbitration & Bankruptcy department, leads the Public Law practice, and is a partner in the Power department.
He has developed extensive experience in dispute resolution in national and international arbitration proceedings, as well as in advising local and international companies on regulatory and energy matters.
In the dispute resolution field, he advises and actively participates in commercial and investment disputes under nationally and internationally recognized arbitration rules (ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, AAA/ICDR and LCIA).
In the area of energy and economic regulation, he advises clients in various regulated sectors, including power generation, both renewable and non-renewable, natural gas, infrastructure, administrative contracts, public utilities such as gas and electricity transmission and distribution, water and sewage systems, and railways, as well as other regulated activities.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a foreign associate in the international dispute resolution practice at the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.
In the academic field, he is a professor in the Master’s Program in Law and Economics at the University of Buenos Aires School of Law, a member of the Academic Council and professor in the Diploma Program in International Commercial Arbitration at Universidad CAECE, and a professor in the Property Law in the Constitution program at Universidad Austral.
He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and Vice President of the Arbitration Commission of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services. He also serves as Argentina’s delegate to the Americas Initiative section of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. He previously served as Regional Representative of the Young Arbitrators Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce, member of the Steering Committee of the IBA Arb 40 of the IBA Arbitration Committee, and member of the Editorial Board of IBA Arbitration News.
He has published more than 20 articles on administrative law and arbitration matters in Argentina and abroad.
He has also been recognized in his practice areas as one of the leading lawyers by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. In the arbitration field, he has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal – Global Arbitration Review as a Thought Leader in Argentina.
