Position
Charlotte Yates is a Senior Counsel in Walkers' Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team in Jersey.
Her practice predominantly involves advising in relation to contentious and non-contentious trust applications with an international element, advising both trustees and beneficiaries. She also has experience advising on cross-border commercial litigation and contentious insolvency matters.
Career
Charlotte has experience in all types of trust disputes, including contentious and non-contentious blessing applications, mistake applications, trustee appointment and removals, capacity representations, Beddoe hearings and breach of trust disputes.
She is recognised as a 'Rising Star' by Legal 500 and qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2024.
Prior to joining Walkers in 2020, Charlotte completed her training contract at Stephenson Harwood LLP, where she practised for two years afterwards, before relocating to Jersey.
