Position

Simon is a partner in Walkers' Jersey Investment Funds & Corporate practice group.

He has over 20 years' experience advising a global client base including managers, sponsors, institutional investors, and family offices on all aspects of offshore funds, investment management, corporate transactions and regulatory matters.

He has significant experience in establishing, structuring and maintaining offshore funds and managers, as well as investment, acquisition, and holding structures, across the credit, hedge, private equity, real estate and venture capital sectors.

His expertise also covers establishing and structuring REITs, and Shariah-compliant funds and investment, acquisition and financing structures.

In corporate matters, Simon handles all aspects including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, migrations, restructurings and financing transactions and offshore listings.

Simon is consistently recognised by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 and is highly regarded by IFLR1000.

Career

Before joining Walkers in 2025, Simon headed up the Funds and Investment Management team at a global offshore law firm in Jersey for six years, specialising in private equity, real estate and venture capital funds.

Simon moved to Jersey in 2003, joining an offshore law firm where he spent 15 years in the Investment Funds team.

Prior to that, Simon worked in London at an international law firm, and in-house at a private equity investment firm. He is qualified as a Jersey advocate, UK solicitor and New York attorney-at-law.
