Deepti is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department. She joined Appleby in the year 2014 as Law Graduate and qualified as an Attorney in February 2017. During the years 2018 to 2025, she has had the opportunity of working in a Law Enforcement Agency responsible to combat financial crimes. Deepti has experience in civil and commercial matters. She has been involved in asset recovery and has regularly appeared in matters related to freezing and defreezing of assets and disclosure orders. She has attended and completed several courses on money laundering, bribery and asset recovery from the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for Southern Africa, the International Association of Prosecutors, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) and the International Law Enforcement Academy. She is also well-versed with litigation procedures.

Farhaan is an Associate Trainee within the corporate department in Mauritius. His practice focuses on corporate matters as well as dispute resolution, and commercial legal work. Prior to joining Appleby in February 2026, Farhaan gained professional experience at an international legal services provider, where he worked on complex legal and compliance projects for institutional and corporate clients. His worked involved legal research, risk analysis, contract review and regulatory-focused assignments across multiple jurisdictions. Farhaan is accustomed to high-volume and detail-sensitive legal work. Farhaan also worked for the National Human Rights Commission of Mauritius and developed early exposure to public law and rights-based matters through institutional legal work, contributing to research and case preparation in matters involving statutory interpretation and procedural issues.
