Jeremy Goodwin

Jeremy is the head of the Eversheds Sutherland global pensions team.

He has advised companies and trustees on all types of pension plan, both in the UK and internationally, for more than 26 years. He is currently helping DB clients on their de-risking arrangements, and on managing funding surpluses. For DC clients, his work is focussed on the Guided Retirement requirements and the changes to the IHT regime.

Jeremy is heavily engaged the pensions industry, working for example as a member of the SPP's DB Committee, and leading the firm's relationship with the 100 Group. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (for his work in connection with CDC schemes).

Jeremy was named as one of The Lawyer's Hot 100 lawyers for 2011. He is a leading individual in Chambers and Legal 500. Legal 500 2026 states that “Jeremy is a senior and respected individual who radiates gravitas and brings reassurance to any process.".

Jeremy was an elected member of Eversheds Sutherland's Global Management board for 6 years, and was the firm's London Senior Office Partner until 1 May 2024 (when he became Head of Pensions).
