Jacobo Martínez is a founding partner of Eversheds Nicea, the director of the employment department, and one of the three members of the firm’s steering committee.

He has broad experience advising in all areas of employment law, including implementation of complex remuneration systems, the employment implications of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate successions, as well as workforce restructuring processes, collective bargaining and dispute resolution procedures.

Jacobo Martínez is an Associate Professor of Employment and Social Security Law at Universidad Cardenal Cisneros (Universidad Complutense) and Chairman of the Madrid Regional Sports Law Commission. He is also a Director of the Madrid-based water utility Canal de Isabel II.

Jacobo Martínez has given seminars and conferences on employment law-related matters at Eversheds Nicea, and he has twice addressed the Aranzadi Annual Social Affairs Conference (June 2014 and June 2015). He has also organized various seminars on Spanish employment law in London (Eversheds LLP), and in February 2015, he presented a project on regulatory compliance in football (La limpieza en el fútbol professional) at the Madrid Bar Association.
