Shalagh Massingham is a partner at Eversheds Sutherland based in Dubai, where she leads a construction and infrastructure disputes practice spanning the Gulf and wider Middle East. She advises employers, contractors, and joint venture entities across the full lifecycle of construction and engineering disputes, with a particular focus on the energy sector, including water, oil and gas, power, and renewables projects. Shalagh is experienced in all major standard construction contract forms, and handles the full spectrum of construction claims, from delay and disruption to wrongful termination, acceleration, and final account disputes. Shalagh is English law qualified and routinely advises on UAE and Qatari law matters. She has extensive experience with all major forms of arbitration, appears regularly as advocate in high-value construction arbitrations, and has recently been appointed as sole arbitrator in DIAC proceedings under UAE law. Shalagh is regularly sought out by US-headquartered clients for their most complex construction disputes in the region, acting as client partner for major international energy companies and infrastructure contractors.
