Dr Aleksandra Kunkiel-Kryńska is a partner co-heading the Commercial practice at Eversheds Sutherland Poland.
She specializes in consumer law. She has particular experience advising domestic and foreign clients from industries such as household appliances, audio/video devices, FMCG, textiles, furniture and cosmetics. She works for leading manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers, providing comprehensive legal advice across the broad field of consumer law, including product safety, consumer and warranty claims as well as contract law and advertising law. She participates in public procurement projects and also has extensive experience advising companies in their day-to-day operations.Aleksandra is the co-author Consumer Law: Commentary published by C.H. Beck in 2019, the co-author of Unfair Clauses in Consumer Contract Law (C.H. Beck, 2004, 2005), the author of Methods of Harmonization of Consumer Law in the EU and Their Impact on Implementation Processes in the Member States (Wolters Kluwer, 2013), and the co-author of Consumer Law in Practice (C.H. Beck, 2016). She is the founder and co-author of the blog devoted to legal aspects of manufacturing, sale, promotion and disposal of consumer products. She is also the author of many articles in leading Polish dailies and trade publications. She speaks regularly at conferences, and also develops and conducts consumer law workshops. Aleksandra is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, where she completed the program at the British Law Centre in conjunction with the University of Cambridge. She held a scholarship at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and an internship at the European Commission in Brussels. She completed postgraduate studies in public procurement law at the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2012 she defended her dissertation on European consumer law at the Institute of Legal Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences.
