Career
Michal Hrabovský heads our Czech and Slovak Competition Practice Group and has been repeatedly recognised by Legal 500 in mergers and acquisitions.
Michal acts for significant clients in the IT, industrials, energy, timber, food, retail, construction and hospitality sectors. He has extensive experience advising on and negotiating a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions across a range of industries. He advises clients on all aspects of competition law and has experience in advising and representing clients in various merger control, antitrust and abuse proceedings in the Czech Republic and before the European Commission.
Previously he also represented clients in disputes, including acting as a Co-Counsel in an international arbitration case with hearings held at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland in 2019, Michal has been working for eight years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and five years as a managing associate at bpv Braun Partners (formerly Haarmann Hemmelrath).
Michal graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University of Brno and University of Cambridge (LL.M.).
