Career

David Quirolo is a partner in the London office. He focuses his practice primarily on collateralised loan obligations (CLOs), collateralised fund obligations (CFOs), securitisation, asset finance, and repackaging transactions involving various asset types in the United States and Europe, including corporate debt, fund subscription facilities, private equity, and credit fund interests. His clients include banks, arrangers, and asset managers in a variety of structured finance transactions.

David has extensive experience using “cash flow,” “market value,” and hybrid structures and is recognised as a leading practitioner in the CLO 2.0 market.

He was named “Lawyer of the Year” in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers in the UK for Securitisation Law and is consistently ranked among the top capital markets lawyers by The Legal 500, IFLR1000, Chambers Global, and Chambers UK. Chambers describes David as “very user-friendly and very pragmatic.” The Legal 500 UK refers to him as “Europe’s leading lawyer in the CLO field, with outstanding knowledge and experience.” Who’s Who Legal recognizes him as a Global Leader for Capital Markets: Structured Finance, citing his “superb advisory practice” and “in-depth expertise in structured transactions and derivatives.”

David also represents the Loan Market Association on regulatory matters affecting the CLO market and regularly meets with regulators and policy makers in relation to securitization regulation.

David received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
