Bryan’s practice focuses on advising both fund sponsors and investors in the formation and operation of private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and other alternative investment products. Bryan also advises fund sponsors regarding related regulatory and internal governance matters.

In addition, Bryan advises clients in private equity/M&A transactions and other related commercial transactions.

Bryan is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Selected representations by Bryan include:

Represented GLP Pte. Ltd. in connection with the establishment of GLP Japan Development Partners III, a Japan-focused logistics private real estate fund which is expected to reach JPY625 billion (US$5.6 billion) of assets under management when fully invested. Represented a China-based investment bank in its joint venture with a Canada-based venture capital firm, and the establishment of a healthcare fund managed by the joint venture, with a fund size of the US$90 million, as well as related fund maintenance matters. Represented an Asian sovereign wealth fund in connection with its investment in a $5 billion (target size) software-focused private equity fund sponsored by a leading U.S.-based manager. Represented an Asian sovereign wealth fund in connection with its investment in a $3.5 billion (target size) private equity fund focused on growth equity and buyout investments sponsored by a leading U.S.-based manager. Represented a U.S. technology company in connection with its investment in a $300 million clean energy-focused private investment fund sponsored by a leading asset management firm.
