Sumet Orsirivikorn advises clients on a wide range of business transactions and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, the formation of joint ventures, private equity investments and divestitures, commercial and strategic transactions. Sumet Orsirivikorn co-heads the Corporate/M&A Practice Group and is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial, Insurance, Real Estate, and Hotel/Resort & Property Development Practice Groups at Baker McKenzie's Bangkok office. He also serves on the Firm's Asia Pacific M&A Steering Committee, and the Firm's Asia Pacific Private Equity Steering Committee, contributing to the practice group's direction and growth on a regional scale. He is trusted by the firm leaders to handle and lead the Bangkok Office's mega-deals, focusing on cross-border mergers and acquisitions in such areas as real estate, hotel and property development, insurance, manufacturing, transportation, energy, and infrastructure. Due to the cross-border nature of many of his deals, he works extensively with our offices worldwide, guiding clients through multi-jurisdictional regulatory concerns and facilitating them through cultural nuances. He has a keen eye for the renewables sector and understands the impact of online companies and data centres in the future of the corporate landscape.
