Career
Jennifer specialises in cross-border, real estate finance and fund finance transactions acting for both international lenders and corporate borrowers. She also advises in relation to restructuring, corporate recovery, security enforcement and acquisitions.
She also has significant experience in relation to corporate transactions and, in particular, in the acquisition and disposal of Jersey property unit trusts and other Jersey real estate holding structures.
Jennifer's notable recent work includes:
- Advising Lloyds Bank on a £65 million refinancing deal with investment adviser Seaton Place on its office assets in Jersey (Gaspé House and JTC House)
- Advising Cheyne on the acquisition, together with its joint venture partner Dominus, of 65 Fleet Street in London and the related senior and mezzanine financing
- Acting as lead counsel for an international bank in relation to the refinancing of Jersey law governed facilities to three Scottish LP Advising AEW in relation to the £22 million acquisition of a Jersey property unit trust which owns 95 New Cavendish Street in London
- Advising the lender in relation to a £229 million refinancing in connection with the development of four hotels in London and green projects which included 14 Jersey companies
- Advising the Jersey Home Trust, Jersey's largest, non-profit and independent housing association, in relation to a £60 million refinancing
- Advising on international financial institution in relation to a £175 million refinancing of the borrower's acquisition of five freehold properties and one leasehold property in the UK
- Acting as lead counsel for a local bank on a £6 million leverage finance transaction which involved a corporate restructure prior to completion
- Advising an international financial institution in relation to a £300 million loan note purchase agreement to refinance the acquisition of a portfolio of UK properties by the subsidiaries of the issuer
