Mental Health and Capacity

Cerise represents family members and vulnerable individuals in proceedings before the Court of Protection under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Her work focuses on issues concerning a vulnerable adult’s capacity and best interests, in relation to both health and welfare and property and affairs.

She is regularly instructed by the Official Solicitor in section 16 and section 21A Court of Protection proceedings, and has extensive experience acting for P through RPPR’s, and family members.

Cerise also represents individuals in community care matters, including challenges and disputes arising under the Care Act 2014, and advises clients in relation to local authority duties and decision-making.
