Louise Belderbos

Louise Belderbos

Louise is a Partner in Land Law's real estate team who has experience in all aspects of commercial property work.  In recent years Louise has dealt predominantly with residential development work, having spent over 10 years as an in house lawyer with one of the largest commercial and residential developers/investors in the North West.  In addition to residential development Louise also deals with investment acquisitions and disposals; option and promotion agreements and conditional contracts including handling complex planning and development issues; site assembly/division and infrastructure matters; collaboration between joint developers and related agreements and documentation; and property finance work in relation to funding commercial and residential developments and investment properties.  
Sarah Bonwick

Sarah Bonwick

Sarah is a Partner in the real estate team dealing with a range of property matters including the acquisition, development, leasing, management and disposal of industrial, office and retail premises and estates. Sarah also advises on specialist transaction terms including rent guarantees, rent top-ups, price adjustments and overage. Recently Sarah has been dealing with the acquisition of several sites for mixed use development on a "subject to planning" basis and their onward disposal; acting for landowners in relation to the promotion of green field sites for residential development, and has dealt with the sale, purchase, management and refinance of a variety of industrial estates and office buildings.
Jenny Clarke

Jenny Clarke

Jenny is a Partner in the real estate team of Land Law who assists with all aspects of commercial property work.  Development project work is a particular area of expertise, and Jenny regularly assists her clients with the disposal of land for the purposes of residential development.  As part of this work, Jenny deals with the required disposal contracts (including conditional contracts) and also advises on appropriate development structures, including the use of building licences and development leases and the completion of the various infrastructure agreements required to bring services to the development sites.  Jenny also has experience of investment property sales and acquisitions and property management.
Helen Davidson

Helen Davidson

Helen is a Partner in the real estate team who deals with all aspects of commercial property transactions, but specialises in development work - taking schemes (including for residential, office, retail and industrial use) through from initial site assembly and acquisition to their eventual disposal whether via sales or lettings. Recently Helen has been working on the sale of large residential sites to housebuilders, including dealing with promotion and collaboration agreements, and has been acting for landowners and occupiers in connection with drainage and energy related infrastructure. Helen has expertise in the transport sector, advising landowners on the implications of transport schemes and regularly advises airports on all aspects of their property work. When not dealing with her transaction work Helen oversees compliance, regulatory and quality matters for Land Law LLP and is also responsible for the firm's Lexcel accreditation.
Paul Grundy

Paul Grundy

Paul is a Partner who deals with all forms of commercial property/transactional work, including development work and property management. Recently he has assisted with site assemblies for major residential developments near the Mancunian Way and Manchester Arena in central Manchester; negotiated and completed a high value conditional purchase with a consortium of multiple vendors and secured funding for a major residential development near Deansgate central Manchester; and is presently acting for the landowner in negotiated development disposals under a promotion agreement of agricultural land in the Congleton area. Paul's clients are primarily developers, investors and landlords. Paul also works for a number of surveyors who instruct him when they have property transactions in their personal capacity and is highly recommended by local commercial property agents.

Ellen is an associate partner in the real estate team of Land Law, who assists clients in a broad range of sectors with their property transactions. Ellen has particular experience in the acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential properties; development work and site assembly together with landlord and tenant matters and non-contentious portfolio management. Ellen also has expertise in dealing with drainage and energy related infrastructure.
Nicola Jackson

Nicola Jackson

Nicola is a Partner in the real estate team of Land Law who assists clients in a broad range of sectors with their property transactions.  Nicola has particular experience in the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties; secured lending; development work and site assembly; landlord and tenant matters and freehold reversion sales.  In addition to her private practice experience Nicola has also spent five years lecturing at the University (formerly College) of Law in Manchester, specialising in property law.
Steven Jennings

Steven Jennings

Steven Jennings is a property litigator who has wide-ranging experience of handling commercial property disputes, particularly in landlord and tenant issues and development work. Steven practises in the fields of litigation, mediation and arbitration and is a long-standing Member of Arbrix, the organisation for rent review specialists. He regularly delivers training seminars to members of the RICS and other property professionals. He heads up Land Law's litigation team and has acted for clients in leading reported cases in the fields of dilapidations, breaches of 'keep open' covenants, rights to light and rights of pre-emption. He has recently acted for a major property company in obtaining an injunction preventing 'free runners' from committing trespass on its portfolio of circa 130 buildings.

Tim is an Associate Partner in the real estate team at Land Law.  Tim has substantial experience in advising on all aspects of commercial property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work and property management transactions with particular emphases on institutional investment work.  Tim’s main focus is on the industrial, office and retail sectors.
Hans Scheiwiller

Hans Scheiwiller

Hans is a consultant who heads up Land Law's property finance team and also works with the real estate team.  Hans dealing with all aspects of commercial property work, specialising in property finance. Hans advises lenders and borrowers on loan agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, hedging arrangements and property due diligence. His USP is the ability to transact both the property and financial aspects of a financing deal ‘in house’. Hans also has substantial experience of public sector funding agreements.
Karen Taylor

Karen Taylor

Karen is an Associate Partner who has a broad practice ranging from portfolio management work for institutional landlords and household name tenants, to development issues faced by both commercial enterprises and high net worth individuals. Karen provides timely and strategic advice whilst maintaining focus on achieving a commercially beneficial outcome for clients in what are often difficult circumstances.  Recently Karen has dealt with a claim for a developer in the First Tier Tribunal contesting a local group’s right to use part of the developer’s portfolio. Karen has also successfully settled a professional negligence claim worth over £100,000 on behalf of a client left with a landlocked site as a result of negligent advice. 
Angus Whyte

Angus Whyte

Angus is the Managing Partner of Land Law LLP having founded the firm in 1998.  When not running the practice or developing the firm's IT systems, Angus deals with all forms of commercial property transactional work, including the acquisition, development, management and disposal of a wide range of commercial properties. Recently, Angus headed up the Land Law team who assisted with the sale of a multi million pound industrial property portfolio for a long standing client of the firm. Angus acts principally for investors, landlords and developers, and has a loyal client following, many of whom have been with him since the inception of Land Law.
