Legal Director

Alex Oldreive is a Legal Director in Blacks' Corporate team. She joined the firm in 2011, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2017, and was promoted to Legal Director in 2025. She brings a steady, commercial approach to every deal and focuses on helping clients make confident decisions.

She acts for owner managed businesses, investors and management teams. Her work covers business and company acquisitions and disposals, shareholder agreements, management buyouts, sales to Employee Ownership Trusts, group restructures and EMI share options. Alex has strong experience coordinating multi-party transactions and shaping deal structures that support long term growth and succession plans.

She works with clients across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, legal, veterinary, printing, packaging, distribution, food and drink, and engineering. Whatever the project, Alex focuses on practical solutions and clear communication so clients always know where they stand.
