Legal Director and Head of Commercial / Intellectual Property

Pete Konieczko-Hansom is a Legal Director and is head of the Commercial and Intellectual Property teams. After completing his training at a prominent national firm in Hull, he qualified in 2008.

Following an initial two year period at Blacks, Pete gained extensive experience working with various firms across West and East Yorkshire, and also in London with the Government Legal Department, before rejoining Blacks in 2022 as a Senior Associate Solicitor.

Pete represents a diverse array of clients, ranging from small start-ups to large international businesses. He provides counsel on numerous corporate and commercial issues, including share sales and purchases, EMI schemes, company reorganisations, management buyouts, franchise agreements, supply agreements, and distribution agreements.

Additionally, Pete advises on a broad range of intellectual property matters, advising clients with brand protection and the commercialisation of their intellectual property portfolios.
