Legal Director

Alex Hall joined Blacks Solicitors in 2011, transferring to the Corporate team as a Paralegal in 2013, before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2017. After working her way up to Associate and then Senior Associate, Alex was promoted to Legal Director in January 2025.

Alex has a primary focus on corporate work, predominantly advising in relation to business/company acquisitions and disposals, shareholders’ agreements, management buyouts (MBOs), group restructures, and share options.  She is known for providing clear and comprehensive advice to clients in a manner that they can understand and constantly focuses on the “bigger picture” when providing advice.

Alex acts for clients from a wide range of sectors including financial services, legal, veterinary, printing, packaging, distribution, food & drink and engineering.

Alex’s career highlights to date include:

Advising the shareholders of Ellis Bates, a large financial advice and wealth management group, on the sale of the company to Skerritts Advising the shareholders of Eville & Jones, a supplier of veterinary, compliance and public health solutions to the food industry, on the sale of the company to the Phenna Group Advising the shareholder of ProAktive, a large insurance and risk management business, on the sale of the company to The Clear Group Advising the shareholders of Perega, civil and structural engineering consultancy business, on the sale of the group to an Employee Ownership Trust Advising in the sale of Comms-Care, a data software provider, on the sale of the company to US listed Ingram Micro
