Chloe is an associate in the media and reputation team.
Chloe specialises in media law and reputation management. Chloe holds Higher Rights of Audience - she is thus able to represent clients in the civil Senior Courts of England and Wales. Chloe's recent legal commentary on the growing use and misuse of genAI has been published by Solicitors Journal and New Law Journal. Chloe has also authored articles published by The Sunday Times, the Society of Authors, and Spear's Magazine.
Chloe regularly assists those facing a reputational crisis, whether that be online or offline intrusions or threats. Her media law practice involves advising on and litigating in the fields of defamation, privacy, harassment, and data protection, regularly assisting individuals and businesses who face reputational risk from intrusive reporting, competitor action and disinformation. She has a wealth of experience in pre-publication and post-publication matters, regularly engaging in pre-publication work on behalf of corporate and individual clients against national newspapers. Her recent clients include celebrities, UHNW and HNWI individuals, high profile businessmen and women, corporate bodies, private equity firms, charities, and chief executives.
She has significant experience in handling online reputation matters, including amending or removing false and inaccurate profiles on due diligence databases such as World-Check, securing the removal of offending and often sensitive material across social media platforms, and ‘Right to Be Forgotten’ requests against online intermediaries.
Chloe has experience advising individuals subject to a potential criticism as part of an investigation including advice on the Maxwellisation process. Chloe also provides advice on the rights and obligations provided for by the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, in particular in assisting individuals assert their rights of access.
