Kai Yan has been involved in a wide range of corporate commercial matters, assisting various local and foreign clients on matters such as acquisition and disposal of shares, drafting and reviewing corporate agreements as well as advising on legal and regulatory issues. He has also been involved in notable banking & finance transactions, advising established financial institutions and corporations alike on both the transactional and compliance aspects of high value transactions. In addition, he also assists on intellectual property matters (trademarks, copyright, patents, industrial designs etc.).

Kai Yan has been involved in complex, comprehensive legal due diligence exercises, high value M&A, advisory matters on corporate commercial as well as regulatory compliance matters, establishment of legal entities and preparation and drafting of corporate agreements and policies. He has also assisted with high value banking & finance financings, preparing facility and security documents as well as facilitating the overall completion and perfection of such financings.

He also assists with intellectual property matters such as the registration and maintenance of trademarks as well as advisory aspects of other intellectual properties (copyright, patents, industrial designs).

Kai Yan graduated from University of Sheffield with Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons.) in 2020 and was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 3 March 2023.
