Farahida has been involved in a wide range of corporate commercial matters, assisting various local and foreign clients on matters such as acquisition and disposal of shares, drafting and reviewing corporate agreements as well as advising on legal and regulatory issues.

Farahida has broad experience advising both Malaysian and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Her notable experience includes:

Acting as local counsel in cross-border acquisitions, mergers and strategic collaborations, including advising on transaction structuring and regulatory considerations;

Conducting and managing legal due diligence exercises for mergers and acquisitions, including the identification of key legal, regulatory and commercial risks, and advising clients on risk mitigation strategies;

Advising shareholders of public-listed companies on their rights, obligations and corporate governance matters;

Drafting, reviewing and finalising key corporate documentation, including share sale agreements, option agreements and debentures, as well as transaction structures tailored for unit trust funds;

Advising governmental agencies on regulatory compliance matters, including the preparation of impact assessments and legislative review reports; and

Advising corporate and institutional clients on a broad range of real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposal of commercial and industrial properties, asset injections, lease structuring and renewals, and property-related aspects of corporate and capital markets transactions.

Education

Farahida graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons.) in 2021 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 29 July 2022.

She subsequently obtained her Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law from University College London (UCL) in July 2023 and have been in corporate practise ever since.
