Cheng Yah is a partner based in our Kuala Lumpur office where her main area of practice is capital markets, corporate and commercial.

Prior to joining HHQ, she was the head of legal of a wealth management company and responsible to develop legal frameworks and legal documentation for the Malaysia businesses such as fund establishments and key strategic initiative.

Her areas of practice during her legal practice include capital markets, investment funds and corporate mergers and acquisition. She has been involved in initial public offerings (IPOs), equity and debt securities offerings, funds and collective investment scheme formation and other general corporate exercises. She has experience advising a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, foreign asset managers, private limited companies, investment corporations and institutional investors.
