Mr. Cheng has more than 15 years’ experience in the area of trade remedies. He has an extensive background with law, engineering, accounting and economics in helping clients to respond to anti-dumping, countervailing duty and safeguards disputes before both Chinese and foreign authorities since 2003. Mr. Cheng has involved in more than 50 antidumping and countervailing cases against the products from steel to chemicals and economies as diverse as Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, the United States and the European Union. His clients include a lot of multinational enterprises, such as Mitsui, Mitsubishi, JFE, LG, BASF, Bayer, DSM, Daimler, Nissan and Eastman, etc. Mr. Cheng represents exporters and governments in international trade disputes between China and the United States, the European Union, etc. Mr. Cheng is recognized as an antidumping expert in China and frequently advised China’s government as an outside counsel for the trade law legislation, especially the implementation rules of the trade remedy.
