- Led a full-scope PIPL compliance transformation for a leading global sportswear and consumer brand, mapping and redesigning personal information practices across its entire China data ecosystem. HHP’s work spanned HR, physical retail, e-commerce, wholesale, marketing, finance, operations, IT infrastructure and data lake arrangements, as well as sophisticated digital scenarios involving SDKs, mini-programme tracking, membership platforms, store analytics and third-party service providers.
- Acted as strategic data and cybersecurity counsel to a leading smart energy technology group on the development of its European data infrastructure and connected-energy operations. HHP advised on the architecture for storing, accessing and transferring data through European data centres, cybersecurity obligations for connected products and overseas customers, GDPR and PIPL alignment, contractual allocation of data-security responsibilities, and governance measures supporting the international deployment of AI-enabled energy management functions. The work required HHP to coordinate PRC and European requirements and convert them into an operational framework for the client’s technology and business teams.
- Directed the data protection workstream of a major global corporate separation for a leading European industrial group. HHP devised the PRC framework for segregating, sharing and transferring employee, recruitment-candidate and business-related personal information, and prepared the transfer agreements, notices, compliance checklists and implementation protocols required to preserve business continuity throughout the carve-out.
- Designed the privacy and consent architecture for the China digital-retail platform of a leading global beauty and consumer group. HHP analysed end-to-end personal information flows, restructured customer-facing privacy documentation and consent interfaces, and advised on data-transfer and governance arrangements, enabling the client to embed PIPL compliance directly into the design and operation of its new retail model.
- Delivered an enterprise-wide China data compliance programme for a leading global consumer lifestyle brand, covering customer information collected through e-commerce platforms, social media and physical stores, together with employee data processed through internal systems. HHP localised the client’s privacy framework, assessed cross-border transfer risks, advised on emerging data-export rules and established a legally robust response strategy for potential data-security incidents, while preserving the efficiency of the client’s consumer-facing operations.
- Built a comprehensive China data governance framework for a global leader in scientific instrumentation. HHP mapped complex business and HR data flows, conducted a detailed PIPL and data-security risk assessment, formulated a prioritised remediation roadmap, refined the client’s internal privacy documentation and structured lawful outbound transfer arrangements. The team also advised on standard contractual mechanisms and the technical and organisational safeguards required to align the group’s global privacy standards with PRC law without disrupting a data-intensive, R&D-driven business.
- Developed a defensible data-collection and digital-evidence strategy for a smart-energy product dispute involving technically complex operational data. HHP coordinated with the client’s R&D team, cloud-service providers, appraisal institutions and other technical stakeholders to structure the collection, preservation and forensic assessment of relevant data, review expert findings and integrate the resulting digital evidence into the litigation strategy. The matter demonstrates HHP’s ability to handle data issues not merely as compliance questions, but as decisive evidence in complex commercial disputes.
