Haiwen & Partners Announces Leadership Appointments and Management

Committee Co-Chair Structure Haiwen & Partners today announced key leadership appointments as part of its long-term strategic development plan. Following a resolution adopted at the Firm’s Partners’ Meeting, Haiwen has established a Co-Chair structure for its Management Committee, and Ms. Wei Shuangjuan and Mr. Zhang Jin’en were elected as Co-Chairs, succeeding Mr. Zhang Jiping, who has stepped down from the Chair of the Firm’s Management Committee after twelve years of distinguished service. Co-Chairmanship of Management Committee Ms. Wei Shuangjuan and Mr. Zhang Jin’en have been elected to serve as Co-Chairs of the Management Committee.   Wei Shuangjuan Partner Ms. Wei Shuangjuan is a partner at Haiwen & Partners based in Beijing. She obtained her LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Peking University in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and earned an LL.M. degree from New York University in 2005. Ms. Wei joined Haiwen & Partners in 2012 and has over two decades of extensive experience in the legal profession. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, fund formation, asset management, and capital markets transactions. Known for her professionalism, dedication to client matters, and solution-based approach, Ms. Wei is highly regarded and trusted by clients and peers.   Zhang Jin'en Partner Mr. Zhang Jin’en is a partner at Haiwen & Partners based in Beijing. He obtained his LL.B. from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 2003, his LL.M. from Peking University in 2006, and his LL.M. from Duke University School of Law in 2012. Mr. Zhang joined Haiwen & Partners in 2006 and has developed a broad and sophisticated practice over the past two decades, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, capital markets, and corporate governance. Known for his solid legal expertise and pragmatic, meticulous approach, Mr. Zhang is highly trusted by clients and widely respected within the legal community.   Election of New Chair of the Firm   Mr. Zhang Jin’en has also assumed the role of Chair of Haiwen & Partners. All regulatory and administrative procedures relating to the transition have been completed.   Review and Outlook   Over the past twelve years as Chair of the Firm, Mr. Zhang Jiping has led the Firm with unwavering dedication, integrity, and professionalism. Under his stewardship, Haiwen strengthened its governance framework, expanded its practice platforms, and enhanced its brand and market standing, laying a solid foundation for the Firm’s sustained growth and continued advancement. Following his transition from the role of Chair of the Firm, Mr. Zhang will continue to serve as a member of the Management Committee, a partner, and a practicing lawyer, and will remain actively engaged in supporting the Firm’s long-term growth and success.   This leadership transition represents a significant milestone in Haiwen’s development.
