Anna Mae Koo is a partner of Vivien Chan & Co, where she practises non-contentious, contentious and transactional IP law. She regularly advises on all areas of intellectual property, including trademark, copyright, patent, licensing, franchising and other transactional intellectual property, due diligence and strategic acquisitions, prosecution, technical assistance and technology transfer agreements, trade practices and unfair competition law in China and Hong Kong.

Ms Koo has been widely recognized as a leading practitioner by major legal awards and publications. She was a winner of IP Rising Star of the Asia Women in Business Law Award and Rising Star Lawyer in Intellectual Property of Asialaw Leading Lawyers.

Ms Koo is now the chair of the Professional Development Committee of the International Trademark Association and she is in the Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association. Ms Koo also actively participates in public services. She is amember of the Finance Committees of the Housing Authority and Honorary Presidents' Association of "Customs YES", a youth programme initiated by the Customs and Excise Department of Hong Kong.

Ms Koo was a Prince Philip scholar at the University of Cambridge and read law at Peterhouse, Cambridge. She has also obtained a master’s in real estate from the University of Hong Kong. Ms Koo has passed the Greater Bay Area legal professional assessment in August 2023 and is set to practice as Greater Bay Area Lawyer.
