Sascha is a partner in our Frankfurt office and head of our German Employment Practice.

He is a certified professional for employment and labour law and advises national and international companies in all aspects of collective labour and individual employment law. He has an extensive sector experience, particularly concerning the Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, TMT and Consumer Goods and Retail Industries.

Sascha’s experience involves national and cross-border restructurings, acquisitions, transfers of undertakings, negotiations with works councils on works agreements on co-determination matters and regarding operational changes on balance of interests and social plans, mass dismissals, service relationships with managing directors and board-members, employment in regulated industries including remuneration schemes, internal compliance investigations, employee data protection law, employee leasing, employment of foreign employees in Germany, as well as representation in labour courts. Chemical company: Advising on plant closure, negotiations with works council on balance of interests and social plan, mass dismissals, special dismissal protections and dismissal protection claims Financial service provider: Advice on variable compensation schemes and negotiations with works council on works agreement Pharmaceutical company: Advising on flexible staffing and framework service agreement structures vs. employee leasing and fake self-employment Foreign Banks: Advice on reorganisation and transfer of business in preparation of imminent Brexit Chemical company: Advising on complex internal compliance investigation measures, employee data protection and dismissal process as well as representation in labour court Technology company: Advice on M&A acquisition, transfer of parts of the business and post-acquisition integration. Technology company: Advising on outsourcing of part of their business and reorganisation.

Sascha studied law at the University of Hamburg and at the University of Texas, Austin, School of Law, (LL.M.). After being admitted to the German bar in 2005, he initially worked for two international commercial law firms in Hamburg and Frankfurt. Sascha is an attorney and counsellor at law, New York.
