Asset Based Lending

Alex Chapman is Head of Bermans’ Asset Based Lending Team.

Alex has been at Bermans since leaving Law School in 1986.

Alex specialises in the non-contentious aspects of receivables finance, structured and wholesale finance assisting his clients on security matters, drafting of bespoke documentation, reviewing contracts for quality of debt issues and assisting funders when they fund acquisitions and buy-outs.

Alex is recognised by his clients for making complex areas of law understandable and applying legal principles in a commercial manner to ensure the job gets done. He values client service as a top priority and understands the needs of his client’s businesses. Alex has regularly lectured members of the Asset Based Lending industry on legal issues affecting the ABL market.

Alex is a Personal Member of the MCC and a member of Royal Liverpool GC.

Alex attended the Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School Wakefield,  University of Birmingham and the College of Law.
