Andrew joined Bermans in January 2017 as a Partner based in Manchester, becoming Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution in 2022.

Andrew has over 35 years of experience as a commercial litigator and handles disputes in all sectors.  Clients repeatedly recognise his swift commercially minded approach, which combines tenacity with flexibility and focuses on delivering prompt and cost-effective results.  He acts for both claimants and defendants.

Andrew acts for owner-managed businesses, professional practices, insolvency practitioners, property owners and developers, secured lenders and individuals.

He has acted for clients on a wide range of complex property disputes.  His practice also includes shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence, warranty claims, contract disputes and claims for secured lenders.  He also has substantial experience of employment/restrictive covenant litigation and contentious probates.

Andrew is a member of the Manchester Law Society.

Andrew studied law at University College, Oxford and The College of Law, Guildford, before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1987.

Andrew enjoys football (watching Manchester City); running; walking/climbing; music and learning to play the piano.
