Mikito Ishida is a managing partner of the San Francisco Bay Area Office of Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, Japanese law firm.  He has varied experience in supporting investments in start-ups in multiple jurisdictions and advising in the formation of private equity and venture capital funds, capitalizing on his deep knowledge of startup investment practices, fund regulations and fund structuring.  He also advises on cross-border M&A transactions, M&A disputes, and general corporate matters.

He was admitted to the Bar in 2010 in Japan, New York Bar in 2016 and California Bar in 2025. He was educated at the University of Tokyo (B.S.Econ 1996), the University of Tokyo, School of Law (J.D 2009) and the Stanford Law School (LLM 2015).  He also worked as a foreign temporary associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP from 2015 to 2016.
