Nigel heads the Banking and Finance team and provides a wide range of advice to Anthony Harper's banking and financial institution clients: including merger and acquisition finance, security sharing and security trust arrangements (both domestic and international), project finance, property finance and working capital facilities.

Nigel also advises non-bank deposit takers such as finance companies on all legal matters such as establishing a finance company to ongoing compliance and administering of a loan book. He is also involved with advising public companies, capital market fundraising and regulatory compliance. In particular, he is seen as a trusted advisor on many of New Zealand's banking panels. In addition to his work for financial institutions Nigel advises the firm's corporate clients on their dealings with financial institutions and debt raising transactions.

Nigel has had over 20 years' legal experience, mostly acting for banks and other financial institutions and capital markets transactions.

Nigel is ranked as a Leading Individual in the 2019-2020 Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guides.
