Mgr. Jan Měkota is an attorney-at-law, partner and head of the Competition, Public Support, and Regulation Team.

He joined Chrenek, Toman,Kotrba in 2025.

Within his field of specialisation, Jan provides comprehensive legal services in the areas of competition law, public procurement and PPP, sectoral regulation, especially in the fields of energy, telecommunications, or e-commerce. He has long been involved in representing clients before the Office for the Protection of Competition, the European Commission, or administrative courts. In his practice, he focuses on managing the legal aspects of projects aimed at cooperation between the public and private sectors.

He holds individual awards in international rankings Chambers & Partners (Competition/Antitrust) and Legal 500 (EU & Competition).

Since 2017, he has been registered in the list of attorney-at-laws maintained by the Czech Bar Association under No. 17666. Additionally, Jan is a member of the Remonstrance Committee of the Czech Office for Protection of Competition
