Serena is a Senior Associate in the Family Law department.

Since qualifying as a solicitor, Serena has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of family law. Her work includes:

Specialising in resolving issues arising from the breakdown of all types of relationships, including divorce and separation involving all levels of assets, including complex high assets and contested jurisdiction and issues arising when a cohabiting relationship breaks down. Acting for parents, step-parents, guardians and grandparents in matters relating to arrangements for children, and with particular expertise in dealing with cases involving hostile parents making false allegations, domestic abuse, high level of conflict, and domestic and international relocation. Drafting pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Assisting and obtaining emergency injunctions and protective orders relating to protecting her client’s rights to the family home, non-molestation orders/occupation orders and forced marriage.

She is sharp and determined and prides herself on a pragmatic and proportionate approach. She is committed to working constructively with other lawyers to achieve a resolution; however, in cases that require it, she is known for a no-nonsense, robust approach, advising and acting decisively to protect her client’s position immediately if urgent steps are needed. The priority is listening to the client’s needs and objectives, following this through with high quality legal advice, and pro-actively and energetically working to achieve the best outcome which is right and fair for the client.

Serena is an Accredited Specialist by the Resolution’s Specialist Accreditation in Child Abduction; Domestic Abuse; Private Law Children; and Forced Marriage, and Honour Based Violence.

Serena is a member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association; the Association of Lawyers for Children; The International Association of Young Lawyers; and Resolution.
