Career
César Ramos is a founding partner of Bofill y Ramos Abogados and has extensive experience in the design of litigation strategies and the representation of clients in high-profile and complex criminal proceedings, particularly in economic, corporate, tax, securities and constitutional matters. His practice also includes leading internal corporate investigations, both in Chile and abroad.
He has served on several technical and legislative advisory committees, including the Commission for the Reform of the Criminal Procedure Code convened by the Chilean Ministry of Justice in 2018.
Earlier in his career, César Ramos worked as a legal advisor in the Research Department of the Public Criminal Defence Office (2012–2015) and in the Judicial Division of the Ministry of Justice (2011–2012). He later acted as Head of Criminal Litigation at Albagli Zaliasnik (2016–2020) and as a partner at Bofill Escobar Silva Abogados (2021–2025), before co-founding Bofill y Ramos Abogados.
In parallel to his professional practice, he is a Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Diego Portales Law School and lectures in various postgraduate programmes in criminal law and criminal procedure.
César Ramos is recognised by international legal directories for his technical expertise and leadership. He holds a law degree (with highest honours) from the University of Chile and an LL.M. in Business and Corporate Criminal Law from the same institution.
