Professional Overview 

Simone Bowie Jones is a Partner in MF&G’s Commercial Department and a leading corporate transactions lawyer with extensive experience advising on high-value, complex local and cross-border deals. She is regularly entrusted with matters involving publicly listed companies, regulated entities and strategically significant restructurings. 

Practice Focus 

Commercial Law with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, corporate finance and regulated sectors including fintech, banking, securities and insurance. 

Key Experience & Matters 

  • Lead counsel to National Road Operating and Constructing Company Limited on the offer for sale of shares inTransJamaicanHighway Limited, a Main Market–listed company.
    • Lead counsel to PanJam Investment Limited on the amalgamation of its material business with Jamaica Producers Group Limited, including regulatory approvals and shareholder processes.
    • Advised majority shareholders of Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited on the sale of shares to A.S. Bryden & Sons Holdings Limited.
    • Lead counsel on the sale of shares in Key Insurance Company Limited, a regulated insurer and Junior Market–listed company.
    • Advised on the only “rescue operation” completed under the Junior Market Rules of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, involving Stocks and Securities Limited.
    • Acted for the Trustee in the bankruptcy estate of Jamaica Beverages Limited on the sale of assets.
