About
At Veria, we transform context into strategy. We are a Bogotá-based law and economics firm built for complex, regulated, and fast-moving markets—combining deep local knowledge, global vision, and advanced technology to deliver tailored solutions in law, economics, and institutional relations.
Our difference starts with lived experience. Veria’s partners have led and shaped Colombia’s competition and regulatory agenda from the inside: senior roles at the Colombian Competition Authority (SIC) across antitrust enforcement, merger control, promotion of competition, and unfair competition; leadership within key economic regulatory bodies, including the Commission for Communications Regulation (CRC); and spectrum oversight experience at the National Spectrum Agency (ANE). Our team also brings constitutional perspective through adjudicative experience linked to Colombia’s Constitutional Court.
That public-sector perspective is complemented by senior private-sector and in-house leadership. Our partners have served as legal and HR executives for multinational companies and as regional counsel in complex business environments, including hands-on cross-border work and deep familiarity with corporate decision-making, compliance realities, and operational constraints. We translate that into practical guidance for boards, management teams, founders, and investors—without losing sight of the institutional and regulatory terrain.
Veria is also built for outcomes. We represent clients before administrative authorities and courts, and we litigate and arbitrate high-stakes disputes in areas such as antitrust, regulated industries, IP and entertainment, and administrative-contentious proceedings. That contentious experience strengthens the way we draft, negotiate, and structure transactions and regulatory strategies from day one.
How we work matters as much as what we know. We start by understanding each client’s context—market structure, stakeholders, incentives, timing, and risk appetite—then design a bespoke plan that combines legal precision, economic reasoning, and clear execution. Our services are powered by proprietary AI models developed for private-sector use, enabling faster pattern recognition, better document intelligence, and more consistent decision support—always guided by partner judgment.
