Position

Clare is a senior associate in our Probate Litigation team. Clare qualified as a solicitor in 2009, having trained at a firm in Chester.

Career

Prior to joining Myerson, Clare worked within the dispute resolution team at a regional firm where she developed her interest in the area of contentious probate. She joined the contentious probate team at Myerson in May 2025.

Clare has a broad range of experience in litigation and dispute resolution. She acts for private individuals, executors, trustees and beneficiaries in a wide range of disputes arising from wills, estates and fiduciary responsibilities.

Her contentious probate experience and areas of expertise include:

  • Challenging or defending the validity of wills (including undue influence and lack of testamentary capacity)
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 for reasonable financial provision
  • Executor and trustee disputes
  • Removal of executors or administrators
  • Disputes over lifetime gifts and proprietary estoppel
  • Mediation and alternative dispute resolution in estate conflicts
