Bresee Carlson serves as a Partner at Kuiper Law Firm and manages the firm’s Denver office, where she oversees all Colorado matters. In this leadership role, she guides the firm’s regional operations, ensuring that Colorado projects meet Kuiper Law Firm’s standards of excellence, efficiency, and client-focused service.

With extensive experience in oil, gas, and natural resources law, Bresee leads a multidisciplinary team of attorneys and land professionals handling title examination, due diligence, regulatory, and transactional work throughout the Rocky Mountain region. She plays an integral role in maintaining consistency and quality across the firm’s Colorado practice, while also advising clients on complex ownership, leasing, and development issues unique to the state.

As the Denver Partner, Bresee combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in client matters, fostering collaboration between the Colorado team and the firm’s offices in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Her leadership and technical acumen help strengthen Kuiper Law Firm’s presence in the western U.S. energy market.

Bresee Carlson has built an accomplished career in oil, gas, and natural resources law, distinguished by her technical expertise and leadership within the energy sector. Over the past two decades, she has represented a broad range of clients—including exploration and production companies, operators, and mineral owners—across the Rocky Mountain and mid-continent regions.

Before joining Kuiper Law Firm, Bresee served as a partner at a leading Denver-based energy law firm, where she focused on mineral title examination, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters. Her work has encompassed everything from drafting complex title opinions and curative instruments to advising on acquisitions, divestitures, and lease negotiations.

Throughout her career, Bresee has also played an active role in industry organizations such as the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers (DAOGTL) and the Colorado Bar Association’s Natural Resources and Energy Law Section.

Today, as Partner and head of Kuiper Law Firm’s Denver office, Bresee leverages her deep experience and industry insight to lead the firm’s Colorado operations. She is recognized for her practical, solutions-oriented approach and her ability to guide clients through the evolving regulatory and operational landscape of the energy industry.
