Erik Manuel Priego Brito — Founding PartnerErik Priego Brito founded PBGJ and has practiced for over 25 years, with a career rooted in Tabasco, the operational heartland of PEMEX. He has focused on oil and gas work since 2000, and following the 2013 energy reform he became the go-to advisor for international firms and public-sector stakeholders entering the Mexican energy market. He was the first Tabasco-based lawyer to open a dedicated oil sector practice Petrolegal, to develop preventive legal models for the hydrocarbons industry, and to represent the region on national committees before the Mexican Congress, chambers of commerce, professional associations, and industry confederations.Qualifications: Doctor of Law and Master’s degree, University of Salamanca; Master’s in Energy and Specialization in Hydrocarbons, UDLAP; Master’s in Civil Law, UJAT.
