Founder and CEO

Basima Al Sumoom is the Founder and CEO of Basima Al Sumoom Advocates & Legal Consultants (BSM Law), and a seasoned litigation lawyer with over a decade of experience in commercial, administrative, and civil law. A graduate of Sultan Qaboos University, she is licensed to appear before both the primary and appellate courts in Oman. Her legal acumen and deep understanding of the Omani judicial system have earned her recognition for securing favorable outcomes in high-stakes disputes and complex litigation matters.

Prior to establishing her own firm, Basima was part of the commercial litigation team at Al Ajmi Law, where she represented prominent clients in business disputes, mergers, and contractual matters. Her transition to founding BSM Law in 2022 marked a significant step in redefining legal service standards in Oman—building a results-driven firm known for its strategic counsel, courtroom strength, and client-centric approach.

In addition to her legal practice, Basima is a dynamic entrepreneur and business leader. She successfully launched a food venture in 2023 and continues to diversify her expertise. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in the United Kingdom with a focus on Business establishment in Oman and uk, further enhancing her ability to deliver globally informed legal solutions to her clients.

With a strong focus on excellence, integrity, and innovation, Basima leads her firm with purpose and precision, empowering her team and clients alike and continuously contributing to the evolution of the legal profession in Oman.
