Layan Al Salmani is an associate lawyer at Basima Al Sumoom Advocates & Legal Consultants, with a strong academic background and growing experience in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law. A graduate of Sultan Qaboos University (LL.B., 2023), Layan is licensed to appear before the primary courts in Oman and has demonstrated strong capabilities in legal research, contract drafting, litigation support, and compliance advisory.

Prior to joining the firm, Layan completed legal internships at the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, where she contributed to legislative research and contract review, and at the Consumer Protection Authority, where she was involved in fraud investigation. She has also supported case management at the Primary Court of Al Seeb.

Layan regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance, drafts and negotiates legal documents, and assists in court proceedings. Her exposure to public and private sector legal work has equipped her with practical insight into governance, policy development, and the evolving legal landscape in Oman.

Layan joined Basima Al Sumoom Advocates & Legal Consultants in October 2023.
