Over the past 25 years, COSRO professionals have advised on strategic transactions and disputes shaping Brazil’s energy and infrastructure landscape. The team guided IOCs and NOCs through the Petrobras divestment process, including offshore deals and onshore acquisitions totaling over USD 20 billion. It represented clients in administrative, judicial, and arbitral disputes with Petrobras on sanctions, terminations, economic rebalancing, and contracting restrictions. COSRO acted in high-stakes ICC arbitrations involving FPSO and FSO operators in pre-salt fields, including force majeure and rebalancing claims. The firm has negotiated FOAs, JOAs, and asset-sharing agreements for oil and gas assets for more than two decades.

In life sciences and healthcare, senior specialists averaging more than 14 years of sector experience lead engagements end to end. The firm advised a leading U.S. biopharmaceutical company on Brazil facing corporate strategy, clinical trial compliance, and ANVISA aligned regulatory pathways, as well as CMED pricing strategy and public–private market access. Its support spans the full product lifecycle, from trial design through commercialization, advancing therapy access, accelerating market entry, building strategic alliances, and expanding availability across care settings.

In technology and policy, COSRO designs responsible generative AI usage, embedding privacy by design, GxP validation, and model risk classification with guardrails for promo review, medical information, and decision support. The specialized team also addresses lifecycle controls, data sourcing and de identification, bias/performance monitoring, human in the loop oversight, auditability, and vendor management, aligned to device software and risk standards for compliant deployment in R&D, pharmacovigilance signal detection, field force enablement, and patient engagement.
