Founding Partner

Carlos is the partner who structures the transactions behind a company's growth: the capital increase that funds an expansion, the debt issuance that finances it, the acquisition that accelerates it. He advises multinationals and economic groups establishing and scaling operations in Panama, coordinating the legal teams these deals demand and turning technical structuring into decisions a client can act on.

Since the firm's earliest days he has led the setup of multinational operations, moving at a pace that has become part of his reputation, and has directed capital raises for multinational clients alongside international financial institutions. His transactional practice spans real estate, food and beverage, supermarkets, retail, logistics and financial services, and reaches from the corporate structuring of a deal into the competition and consumer-protection questions that regulated businesses have to answer.

He holds a degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua and executive finance training from Chicago Booth. He serves on the board of Fundación PROED.
