Managing Founding Partner

Mario is the partner clients call when a decision will shape where the company goes next: an acquisition, a move into a new market, a change in how the business is owned and governed. He advises companies and economic groups on mergers and acquisitions, capitalisations and corporate governance, with a reading of the transaction that keeps the business objective in view, not only the legal one.

He has led cross-border acquisitions, mergers and capital increases for Panamanian and multinational clients across real estate, retail, technology, logistics, financial services and insurance. His corporate practice rests on two things most transactional lawyers keep apart: a command of finance, from an LLM in Banking and Financial Law at Boston University, and a feel for the business itself, from a Diploma in Business Administration for Lawyers at INCAE. Where a matter reaches the State, whether public procurement or a proceeding before a government body, he adds an administrative fluency that keeps the transaction moving.

He holds a degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua. He also holds an Executive Degree in Corporate Governance from INCAE and is a member of the Corporate Governance Institute.
