Neil Fearn
I am a Director and Head of the Medical Negligence team at Middleton Law based in the Leeds Office. I have specialised in clinical negligence cases since qualifying as a solicitor over 30 years ago. Over my career I have personally acted for clients who have suffered profound injury as a result of Clinical Negligence. I have considerable experience in handling birth injury cases, involving children who have cerebral palsy or Erb’s Palsy as a result of issues arising during delivery or injury due to inadequate neonatal care. I also represent mothers who have suffered injury during delivery I recover substantial amounts of compensation for my clients to fund care, therapies and other needs. I represent families at inquests where their loved one has died through negligent medical treatment. This is often with the aim of getting answers and bringing about changes to improve patient safety. I act for both adults and children who have suffered brain injury, spinal injury such as cauda equina syndrome, or those who have suffered avoidable amputations. Having run my own caseload and supervised large teams undertaking medical negligence cases I have gained detailed experience of most areas of Clinical Negligence.
