Career

Navin is a disputes specialist with extensive experience acting for listed companies, multinational corporations, high net-worth individuals, senior public office holders, and foreign governments in a wide range of criminal and civil matters, with a particular emphasis on white-collar and regulatory disputes.

Navin began his practice at Drew & Napier LLC following his call to the Singapore Bar in 2014. He subsequently joined Davinder Singh Chambers, where he worked closely with Davinder Singh SC for almost 11 years, handling some of the most significant and complex disputes before the Singapore courts.

Prior to private practice, Navin served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Economic Crimes and Governance Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore (AGC). In this role, he specialised in the prosecution of financial and economic crimes, including fraud, corruption, money-laundering, and securities-related offences. His experience spans investigations and prosecutions involving substantial sums and issues of public and regulatory importance.

In 2012, Navin was the first Deputy Public Prosecutor seconded to the Singapore Exchange (SGX). He also represented the AGC as part of the Singapore delegations to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the international standard-setting body on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing.

Navin graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009. During his studies, he was awarded the Peter English Memorial Prize as the top student in Criminal Law. He also achieved notable advocacy distinctions, including winning the Alexander Stone Scottish National Moot while on exchange at the University of Glasgow, appearing in the final before Lord Robert John Reed, President of the UK Supreme Court, and being a finalist in the Jean-Pictet International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition.
