Omneya Moawad is a Managing Associate in the Intellectual Property Department at Shield Advocates, with extensive experience across the full spectrum of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, plant varieties, copyrights, and software matters. She advises a broad portfolio of local and international clients on IP protection, portfolio management, commercialization strategies, enforcement actions, and risk assessment across multiple jurisdictions in the MENA region.

Omneya is particularly recognized for her strong research capabilities, strategic analytical approach, and ability to manage complex cross-border IP matters. She has led extensive investigations, market surveys, and infringement assessments throughout the MENA region for high-profile clients, identifying potential threats, counterfeit activities, and unauthorized uses, while advising on tailored enforcement strategies and practical legal solutions to safeguard clients’ rights and commercial interests.

Her experience includes assisting multinational corporations, technology companies, pharmaceutical entities, and consumer brands with trademark prosecution, patent portfolio coordination, anti-counterfeiting strategies, software and copyright protection, and contentious IP matters. She also regularly advises clients on enforcement planning, opposition actions, settlement negotiations, and regulatory considerations impacting intellectual property rights in Egypt and the wider region.
