Moayed is a corporate, banking and finance lawyer admitted to practise in Kuwait, New York and the District of Columbia. He has served as a Corporate Law Consultant at Dr. Yaqoub Al Sanea & Partners since July 2024 and is currently Assistant General Counsel in the Legal Affairs Department of Gulf Bank K.S.C.P., having previously served as the bank’s Executive Legal Counsel.

His practice focuses on complex banking, finance, capital markets, commercial and regulatory matters, with particular experience in strategic transactions and cross-border financing. He advises on treasury and capital markets transactions, EMTN programmes, bilateral, club and syndicated lending, structured finance, guarantees, counter-guarantees and trade finance. He also acts as lead legal counsel on major strategic initiatives and advises InvestGB, Gulf Bank’s wholly owned investment banking subsidiary, on corporate governance, regulatory matters, investment products and capital markets transactions.

Before joining Gulf Bank, Moayed practised as a Corporate Associate at Meysan Partners and subsequently served as Corporate Law Consultant and Of Counsel at Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group. His earlier experience includes roles with Mintz Levin, Liberty Mutual, International Counsel Bureau, Wainwright Investment Counsel and NBK Capital.

Alongside his legal practice, Moayed is a Visiting Professor at Kuwait International Law School, where he teaches arbitration-related courses. He also served as Chair of the Initial Review Committee of the Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency from December 2022 to January 2024.
