Career
Mr. Alejandro Carlos Lareo is a partner at PASBBA Abogados, with more than three decades of experience in law, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution. A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires (1989), he has developed a distinguished career combining private practice with significant public service and institutional engagement.
He has served as a government advisor and negotiator for the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina, where he intervened in complex conflict scenarios such as the La Tablada hunger strike, prison riots, and union disputes in Ezeiza. His professional expertise encompasses contract law, negotiation, mediation and arbitration, civil liability, freedom of the press, and corporate negotiation.
Mr. Lareo is co-drafter of the preliminary bill of Argentina’s national arbitration law and has extensive experience in both national and international arbitration proceedings. He is a Member of the World Mediation Forum and of the Consultative Commission on Arbitration, which promotes the development and institutionalisation of arbitration in Argentina.
In addition to his legal career, Alejandro has a longstanding record of voluntary service in the sports sector. He has held leadership positions such as President of Club Atlético Ferrocarril General San Martín, Pro-Treasurer of the Argentine Tennis Association (AAT), and Member of the Commission for Comprehensive Education and Behavioural Improvement at the Buenos Aires Rugby Union (URBA). His commitment focuses on promoting education, fair play, and the prevention of violence through sport.
